A Summer’s Evening in Tuscany, $60.00, Participation (SOLD OUT) Thursday, July 17 6:00pm-9:00pm, Stillwater, Minnesota Imagine preparing your evening meal while looking out over the valleys of Tuscany. Chef John Michael Lerma hosts culinary vacations where the participants live this dream! Join him in the preparation of one of the menus his guests create: Goat Cheese Crostini, Grilled Asparagus with Balsamic Vinaigrette, Tuscan Steaks with Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Grilled Seasonal Vegetables with Basil-Tarragon Vinaigrette, Risotto Primavera, and Cornmeal Cake with Summer Berries. We will toast ourselves with wine at the finish.

A Summer’s Evening in Provence, $65.00, Participation Thursday, July 24, 6:00pm-9:00pm, Stillwater, Minnesota Ahh … the pleasure of French food and wine! Chef John Michael Lerma will help you communicate the universal language of love through French cooking with this traditional Provençal menu: Champagne with Fruit and Berries, Pates aux Herbes (herb pasta), Saucisson en Croute (spiced sausage wrapped in puff pastry), Poti de Porc a la Toulonnaise (roast pork with olives and anchovy), Champignons au Gril (grilled marinated mushrooms), and Peaches au Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise (peaches in Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise). Naturally, we will toast the meal with French wine.

Garden County Pie Series, $50.00, Participation Beginning: Wednesday, July 30, 6:00pm-9:00pm, Stillwater, Minnesota Author, chef and Food Network personality John Michael Lerma has won numerous awards for his creative pie baking, including First Place Professional Division 2007 at the National Pie Championship in Florida, and a Bronze Medal on the Food Network Challenge. He’s also had a Food Network Special featuring his famous Vidalia Onion Pie. Join him for this four-week course that will make you a pie baking champion. Learn the secrets of fantastic pie crusts, the science of fillings that don’t fail, and perfect savory pies that become complete meals. WEEK 1 – Pastry and Crust It’s all in the crust, so learn the secrets to making perfect crust to frame your pie fillings. This week we prepare The Perfect Pie Crust, All-Butter Pie Pastry, Extra-Flaky Pie Crust, Lard Pie Crust, Oil Pastry, Meringue Pie Crust, Graham Cracker Crust, and Amaretti Crumb Crust.
